To be considered for an Empowered Dream Hunts experience, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

Residency & Age

• Must be a Wisconsin resident
• Ages 10 through adult

Hunting Participation & Background

• Must have participated in a 9‑Day Disabled Gun Hunt or a Youth Hunt
• Must be able to pass a background check to legally own and use a firearm
  • If you are unable to use a firearm, this must be disclosed during the application process
• Completion of a Hunter’s Safety Course is required

Personal Circumstances

• Must have a qualifying medical diagnosis or be directly affected by the loss of someone in the line of duty

Support & Safety Requirements

• Parental permission and supervision when applicable
• A medical waiver confirming safe participation
• An accompanying caregiver if needed
• A hunting companion is strongly encouraged
• Applicants must arrange their own transportation to and from the hunt

Program Expectations

• Candidates are asked to “Pay It Forward” by actively participating in fundraising efforts or sponsorship outreach
  • Past recipients help future families—financially or emotionally—so that each hunt becomes a meaningful and memorable experience

Interview Requirement

• All candidates must complete an in‑person interview with Empowered Dream Hunts Inc. personnel
